Farnborough International Airshow 2006 was the biggest, most internationally attended aerospace event in the world anda globally renowned showcase of aerospace equipment and technology. BAE Systems showcased their vast range of products in a specialy designed and built pavillion. Many dozens of high level delegations attended the event and were hosted by BAE Systems. The start of the visit for many delegations was a corporate overview brief presented by 3 retired serviceman, one from each service including one from the USA to represent BAE Systems increasing presence in the American market.

The whole presentation team in actionIan Adkins was the ex-Army briefer representing land systems plus customer support and solutions. He joined veteran presenter Clive Soffe, former RAF officerandHarrier pilot, and Ron Zimmerman, a retired US Navy pilot with extensive operational experience on the A6 Intruder and F18 Hornet.

The presentation included a set of high quality videos produced by Now Watch It!, which also provided much of the video material used on the stands and training material used by those manning the stands.

Together, they gave the corporate brief nearly 100 times over the 5 days of the trade show to several hundred people. These included delegations from around the world which included Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein of Jordan, ministers, chiefs of staff and senior officials. Representatives from dozens of countries were briefed, which included:Malaysia, Singapore, Romania, Japan, Chile, India, China, Oman, Thailand, Korea, Poland, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Turkey,Greece, Czech Republic, Libya, Norway, Canada, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Trinidad & Tobago andSweden.

This was a challenging but rewarding brief which was ultimately highly successful as a result of the efforts of a truly first class team who all pulled together as one.
